Question-- Will a carrier from any other 12 bolt be the same?
Just like others with these money pits, I am trying to save a buck when I can. I found a few at some wrecking yards for way way less then a new one and they are tight.

I took the cover off yesterday to take a look and found the spider gears riding on the center pin moving while spinning the axles.
I am looking for some help regarding swapping out the carrier of a 12-bolt not the whole rear end.

Just wondering if the pin could be that worn out to let the center spider gears move as much as they do.
Are talking about replacing the ring and pinion?

HO72 is a 3/4 ton rear. The lug patterns are completely different. | | |
