FOR YOU GUYS WITH BIG TRUCKS AND 7'TALL GARAGE DOORS. I GOT THE IDEA OF GETTING USED FORK LIFT TIRES (THEY WERE FREE) MAKING PLATES WITH HOLE PATTERNS AND WELDING THEM IN. I HAVE EVEN DROVE THE TRUCK AROUND THE BLOCK ON THEM {ONE TIME}THE ONLY PAIN IS CHANGING THE WHEELS BACK AND FORTH. SEE PIC IN DITY GALLERY.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

I haven't been able to view anything but the one picture in (Snapfish) in the DITY post. Has anyone else had better luck? What's the key to getting in without signing up?

I copied it over to my Picassa which I don't think you need a password to get in. All I found was one photo of a forklift rim mounted to the steering axle which isn't a bad idea. In fact the whole project looks good. http://picasaweb.google.com/crenwelgeoil/Desktop?authkey=Gv1sRgCOianpPV962_Hw#5443445292205427154 I think you have to be a member of Snapfish to get in. I get into things like that with a Yahoo address that I never check.

We used to have a small shop and had to work on combines while the big shop was being built. Someone welded the wheel center for a combine in a truck rim. They would swap the tires and drive the combine right in. Swapping the tires was a pain but it beat working outside in the winter.

Before you weld on any rims, be sure to watch Bridgestone's video on pyrolisis. You can find it on youtube.

Here in Jackson is where they make Teragators and Rogators and that's how they move the big floaters around the plant. Just old shabby tires mounted on rims with the right hub configuration.

They load the "monster trucks" on trailers to haul them with just little tires on them too.
