My New (to me...) 1952 Chevy 3 ton (GMC Running gear) Model 1700 Canadian Firetruck!

This truck started life as a Butler Bros. gravel truck, was converted to a front pumper

Started Firebolt life with the Central Sannich Fire Dept....Was sold to the Willis Point VFD in 1977, was in service til 1992-3? was retired due to holey tank,

was rebuilt over the last 5 years and then sold to 1958GMCNut!

Looks fantastic! Can you tell I'm jealous!
What's the plans, are you going to give Virginiafiretruck a run for his money? wink

Good to see another firebolt being saved.

Are you going to keep the door art or try out some of Johns new SVFD Maltese crosses?

Congrats, Dave...

I just posted this in the greasy spoon a couple minutes ago not knowing you had posted it here so I'm sure there will be a few of the guys lusting after the old '52 over there too... smile

Enjoy the new/old truck!

Cool truck! The white roof and hood really set it off.

I like the white roof, not too keen on the white hood though...

If I can light a fire under John's A$$...LOL! I will put on the Stovebolt AD door art ASAP!

It will take some time to do as I am planning to do a rolling restoration on it...a little at a time.....
