I have yanked plenty of v8s but not sure about a 6cyl. A person in a local area has offered to sell his 235 and 3spd tranny at a good price if I will pull it for him since he does not have the tools, But I was wondering where to hook it up and is it best to use a chain or heavy duty straps?

| | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,644 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,644 | A good safe way to pull that engine is go to Ace hardware or some place like that and get two eye bolts the same size as your head bolts and take two head bolts out and replace with them with them thats the way I have been duing it I also built a chain spaner above the engine out of a pc.of 1 1/2 angle iron it will keep the engine in control and the eye bolts are rated at around 1200 pounds each so it is real safe.
