For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2009 Posts: 38 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Dec 2009 Posts: 38 | I have to buy a bunch of stuff for restoring my 59 fleetside apache. Things like hood hinges, body mount rubber kit, bed wood bolt kit and metal strips, new veny windows, total rubber kit and other assorted stuff. I don't want to order it from ten different just to save a few bucks cause then the shipping kills you. Is there any place you guys would recommend to buy it all. I live in Surrey British Columbia just across the US border. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Stovebolt Page, keep an eye on the events forum, the "B.C. Bolters" have a few "meets during the year, and you would be more than welcome to join us.

They're very helpful & knowledgeable. | | | | | Joined: May 2007 Posts: 3 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2007 Posts: 3 | RPM in Saskatoon, also they will be at Red Deer swap meet 30 Apr/1 May. Scott's is super expensive, cheaper to buy out of states at Classic in Kansas City Missouri even after duty and shipping!

They seem to have a ton of parts... | | | | | Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 321 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 321 | I can only speak of my experiences with LMC, and they have not been good. I have gotten the wrong parts on many occasions. The last item I purchased from them was a seat upholstery kit and it was not on backorder or anything and it took 2 months for me to get it. Now, that said, there are many people who have not had any complaints with LMC.
Personally I like Classic Parts. I have ordered lots of parts from them and not once have I had a problem with anything.

Im hoping there wont be too much duty. With the exchange rate & pricing I think I should save a few bucks.Good luck. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 12 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 12 | Have ordered from Scotts SuperTrucks and Iron Chief in Stoney Plain(west of Edmonton). Have to know your pricing as some stuff is very expensive and some will be cheap. Check thier on-line cataloges. That said I'm ordering some body panels, weatherstripping, etc from Brothers as they had a sale this week. I also vote for Scott's in Penhold. I'm about an hour north and have used them for a few things.
Just as a note, Iron Chief in Stony Plain is no longer in existence. They went under almost 2 years ago. A lot of trucks were hauled out of his yard, I don't know where any of them went.
