Just thought you'd like to know that a 12" clutch will fit an 11" pressure plate pattern. The bolt holes are the same. If you're running a big bolt and you work it hard, the extra big clutch might be helpful. I priced one today for my GMC,and the 12 inch diaphragm clutch kit was about 160.00,where the 11 inch diaphragm kit was a whisker over 200.00;not a bad deal. This was for a LUK brand clutch, through Britestar Sales here in Elko.
I had one of their 10.4" clutches in the GMC behind the Pontiac 400,and it seemed like a good product.Didn't use the release bearing from the kit though, because
A:it looked cheap-plastic hub,etc.,and
B:I'd just installed a new heavy duty one a half a year before and it was still in great shape.
Now that I think about it though, the plastic hub should work even better than a metal one, because it would be less likely to get crossed up and jam,so next time I'll give it a go.The clutch worked well, and showed virtually no wear, despite some pretty brutal use, towing the 5th wheel and pulling a dead school bus up a ramp onto a flatbed trailer at the end of a long cable.

That,s a good idea if you are working it hard, but its not for everything. It makes slower shifting & is hard on syncros. You wouldn,t want to use it with a small trans. Luk is one of the best brands of clutches. They make most of the OEM.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
