Just thought you'd like to know that a 12" clutch will fit an 11" pressure plate pattern.The bolt holes are the same. If you're running a big bolt and you work it hard,the extra big clutch might be helpful. I priced one today for my GMC,and the 12 inch diaphragm clutch kit was about 160.00,where the 11 inch diaphragm kit was a whisker over 200.00;not a bad deal. This was for a LUK brand clutch,through Britestar Sales here in Elko.
I had one of their 10.4" clutches in the GMC behind the Pontiac 400,and it seemed like a good product.Didn't use the release bearing from the kit though,because
A:it looked cheap-plastic hub,etc.,and
B:I'd just installed a new heavy duty one a half a year before and it was still in great shape.
Now that I think about it though,the plastic hub should work even better than a metal one,because it would be less likely to get crossed up and jam,so next time I'll give it a go.The clutch worked well,and showed virtually no wear,despite some pretty brutal use,towing the 5th wheel and pulling a dead school bus up a ramp onto a flatbed trailer at the end of a long cable.
