on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 322 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 322 | I am getting ready to order seat covers from JC and want to get the GMC french stitch instead of the original beaded stitch. Are the seat sizes the same in the 1950 year?

If you are looking for something different, instead original cover, check out my post "seat covers and padding. I posted some pic's on seat build. Eric

I think I am going to try and tackle this project with my wife's help. I am going with the original style cover and just got an email from JC saying they are sending me a fabric swatch to see if it matches the sample I have from SMS Fabrics.

I grew up in and around Taylorville,Ill. It is about 30 miles south of Springfield. Like I said, Take your time and you will do fine. Don't pull real hard on the cover and don't pull at the seams, it could tear.Good luck. Eric By the way nice looking truck.
