Hi, I tried the search feature with little luck. Maybe better key words....... I have a rebuilt 6 that I know little about. Anyone know the size, type of low-end bearings, Oils to use? Pros or Cons? I'm willing to hear anything about them. I'm not new to flatheads just new to GMC...

I'm not sure, but I believe that engine is actually an Oldsmobile, used by GMC in some of their trucks that year. Try cross-referencing to Olds engines of similar vintage.

Before '38 or '39 GMC used Olds and Pontiac motors. I'm not the one to offer any details of these motors because I don't know them, but if it's a flat head it's definitely not a GMC motor.

The 1936 GMC T-14 used an Oldsmobile 213 cubic inch flat head six cylinder engine. For particulars you might inquire at www.oldgmctrucks.com

Wow! thanks...... Olds huh. It will be interesting to see if they recammed it, or did any thing else or just jammed a car engine in a 1 1/2 truck. I follow the lead you guys gave me.
