Pware, Welcome to the stovebolt. Man, your close to Hankdogg and myself. I was born/raised in Gaffney.....and like Hankdoog I now live in Boiling Springs. Its been a while but I use to go to the cruise-ins at a place call "Boogers"....I think it was?

We have a Southern Stovebolt Reunion here in Spartanburg the 29th of May. We "piggyback" the car clubs annual car show and have a great time. Can I add you to my stovebolt buddy list to let you know more about it.
Post us up some pics when you can if you come down this way me or Hank will treat you to a couple hot dogs and some Pepsi.... Right Hankdogg!!!

EDIT: I just remembered. It was not Boogers it was CHIGGERS!!!

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

You are right on the money as always Alvin!

BTW as a side note: I have had both boogers and chiggers and I prefer the boogers..easier to get rid of.

Hank

You boys ain't seen nothin. Here in Montana we have skeeters big enough to breed a turkey standing flat footed...

My mother's side of the family hail from Alexander County. My mom left there in 1936 at the age of 16. She stayed in Montana for 40 years. She moved back to Taylorsville and lived there another 20. She was one of 14 kids so I have alot of cousins there. My sister moved there over 30 years ago and her family lives in the Bethlehem area.

I come from a long line of hot rodders and moonshiners.

Good luck on your rebuild!

pware,

Welcome to the "Bolt"!!

As "Alvin" said, keep track of the "3rd Annual Southern Stovebolt Reunion" happening in Spartanburg, SC this upcoming May! Hope to see you there!! Don't worry about your '53 being finished! If it's drivable, come as you are!! If not, just come and enjoy the show!!
