Howdy all,
I have a '48 suburban as well as a '99 but the 48 is my baby. 235 stovebolt with a saginaw car 4 speed. It has the clamshell hatch in the back. The motor is fresh with a fenton headder. I just bought a offenhauser 2x1 intake to liven her up a bit. It is lowered 3" with a disc brake kit on the front. I am wrapping up the new wiring harness this week and hopefully will have her back on the road by next week.

Welcome to the bolt. Your in good company here. There are several bolters here with surburbans and panels. You'll get to meet them and see their work as you learn the site. Lots of knowledge and know-how around here just let folks know what you need.
Oh, and some pics would be nice when you can get "around to it"!

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

Welcome to the 'Bolt! I see the Panel & Burb mafia has already gotten to you wink

We have a fair number of 'Bolters here in the greater Baltimore-Washington area and we get together a few times during the year. Our next event is the annual "Winter Classic" junk yard tour -- check the events forum for the thread that will have all the gory details.

After that will be the annual Stovebolt "Homecoming" here at Stovebolt HQ -- we usually get a big turn outfor that one.

Also, we have a pretty active chapter of the American Truck Historical Society (The Baltimore-Washington Chapter) that 'Bolters have pretty well infiltrated. Our next meeting is coming up soon in Jessup, MD -- I'll have details for that if you want to PM me.

Welcome aboard! Put a write up about that Burb in the DITY Gallery if you haven't done so.

Regards,
John
