OK, So we went and visited the truck again...
Seems the shifting pattern is:
1-3
-N-
R-2-4
Which is weird as the shifting pattern on my F-350 is:(Wich is normal)
1-3
-N-
2-4-R
-------------------------------------
The truck had a in-cab tank, which has been removed, I didn't find this out until yesterday.(Which is fine by me, as it has a saddle tank on both sides) (Which isn't factory)
{I took more pictures)
Now for pictures:

Interior: This picture raises a question to me...What are those too little cut-out things on either sides of where a radio would be on this truck, see ;em, there's two. I thought one was a ash tray...

That is the normal shift pattern for a SM 420 4-Speed in a Chevy or GMC. That transmission was used for many many years up until about '68.

...your just not used to an old Chevy yet!!

BTW, I've seen Reverse everywhere. I had a '62 GMC 5-Speed and Reverse was Up and to the Right.

To answer the question about the two boxy sections on the dash; the one next to the ignition switch is the ashtray. Pull out at the top to tilt it out. They can be somewhat stiff. If you push down on the snuffer (the "ring" on the top whenyou pull the ashtray out), then continue to pull on the top, it will come out of the dash. That was to allow for cleaning it put. The other one next to the glocebox door is a filler plate. On trucks with the deluxe heater, the controls, which are similar to the '55-'56 Passenger controls, would go in that hole. Base heater or delete option trucks got the blank off plate. Since that one has a switch in it, it looks like it got a dealer installed heater. That was a common place for them to put the switch either dealer install or aftermarket (my '55 was the same way).

Thanks for the info.
This truck has been sitting for God only knows how long, and the ash tray seems to not want to move...
Was last updated on the stickers in '74.
My dad just called me on the phone & told me he pulled the seat out of the truck. (I'm not with my dad at the moment)
And he said he found all the tools from the factory to work on the truck, such as the tire iron etc..
Also found some magazines from '67.
As well as a rat & this rat, made it's nest in the seat. (Which is why my dad pulled it, to have it recovered & cleaned good)
He also found one orginal mirror for the truck, under the seat.
Next time I go out there, I'll take pictures of what he found...
