doggy dr New Guy D Joined: Dec 2009 Posts: 5 connecticut	need to find out how to stop trans oil from leaking out the rear of short drive shaft tube on rear of trans. took shaft down and found no seal on front or rear. the doggy doctor

Assuming you are referring to a torque-tube 47-55 truck, you do indeed need seals at three places around the u-joint ball/bell. doggy dr New Guy D Joined: Dec 2009 Posts: 5 connecticut	my pickup is a 1941 3/4 ton with a 3 speed has a open drive shaft on the rear and a closed on the front it is leaking on the raer of the front section
