I got the complete door seal kit from classic parts. How do I attach some of the molding? Like the glass u channel. It doesn't have the clips on it like the original has. wasn't sure if I was suppose to screw it on or what. Also there is a piece that goes on the inside metal trim that is stapled on??some of it I know has to be glued on and they sent the glue for that. I'm getting tired of seeming daylight thru the door and the cab leaks cold are in like a barn door.

bluecarpenter: I'm speaking from experience on my 52 but suspect its much like mine.
So, the info here if what I have on mine.
Three is a "run channel guide" that goes down inside the edge of the door on the latch side. The guide is held in place by screw that you can see on the edge of the door and a small screw near the top you get to from the inside.
Your window channel will slide down inside this guide and on the bottom of the guide is a little clip the window channel slips under. I think my set up calls for ONE screw close to the wing vent assembly but I drilled a couple small holes and put a small screw in the channel to keep it in place. Once I have it all where I want it I'm gonna put some weather stipping adhesive on it and roll the window up and let it set for a day.
Unless your wanting 100% original I'd not try to staple the other pieces but use some black adhesive and glue them on. I did and mine look good.

It would be nice if you could get your hands on a service manual. Keith Hardy has done a lot of work to get these manuals on line. You can find that link here in the tech tip section. I think all your questions will be answered in it.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
