For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 49 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 49 | Hello all, great site!
Years ago I regretfully sold my '57 chevy pickup and have never forgiven myself. After returning from Afghanistan a few weeks ago, I decided to get my butt in gear and finally find myself a new(old) truck. After a lot of looking around I came across a real gem. The ad was pretty vague but I thought it might be worth a look and it was! Within seconds of seeing this truck I knew it was a real find and would be mine. I picked up this '46 chevy 1/2 ton a couple days later and couldn't be happier. It is 99% complete including the original engine with about 66,000 miles on it. The body was sandblasted and primed already and there are tons of new parts sitting in boxes. The body is in amazing condition and the frame is as solid as you could ever hope for. Many years in storage obviously. With the truck came a huge pile of original paperwork, books, receipts ect. Now it's time to decide what direction to go with this project. Looking forward.

Sounds like you got something good to start with. So, now you have to plan out what you intend to do? Good idea, if you run stuck just ask.

And the "thanks for service", it's a true pleasure- love it. The pics are coming. Bluenoser, you would know first hand how tough it can to find decent vintage vehicles in our salty location. It was frustrating but worked out well.
