| | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 7 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 7 | I have a '53 AD 3100 with a cab that needs complete replacment of floor Pan and seat riser, toe board, kick panels, corners,cowls... too much. I have been looking locally for 47-53 restorable cab but have turned up a '54 good cab(no doors). My question is what additional sheet metal would I have to find (aside from a grill) to go to the '54 cab?

| | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 39 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2005 Posts: 39 | If you have doors on your '53 they will work on a '54 cab. The door strikers may be different, but the doors will work. You will also need a pair of front fenders, as there is some difference between the fenders for 47-53 trucks and the fenders of a 54-55 truck. Some guys have installed a complete 47-53 front clip on the cab of a 54-55, so that may be an option for you.
