I have not tricks to offer- the rebuild was rather straight-forward as long as you are methodic. Get you an appropriately sized hone before you put it back together. Like hoggyrubber said: bench bleed it before installing. You be glad you did later.
Do a search on Stovebolt. It has been discussed quite a few times. You'll learn lots by reading others' past experiences.

Just clean everything well & all will be fine.
