I have a 55 2nd series that I want to convert to disc brakes. I need 5 on 5 big chevy bolt patern to match my rear axle. All the kits I find use the small chevy bolt patern. Does anyone know of a kit that uses the big 5 on 5 patern ?

you might have to go to the 6 lug kit and have the hubs and discs redrilled for the 5 on 5 pattern. This would give you 12 inch brakes. I do not know if it is possible to redrill the camaro rotor to a 5 on 5 pattern.

Another option might be to cross reference the bearings to see if the '89-'96 Caprice/Impala rotor would work, as they are 5x5.

I looked at the Camaro rotor and I didn't see an easy way to redrill it for 5" bolt pattern. I wish I had known about the 89-96 Caprice rotor.

I am using a Lincoln rear end that has disc brakes and has a 5X5 bolt pattern. In my case it would be easier to redrill the rear axle and rotors for 5X4.75 to match the Camaro rotors.

Only the station wagon and police cars (myabe cabs) have the big 5X5 pattern, the reagular cars have the smaller, 4.75X5, I think.

There are adapters to go from 5 x 4.75 to 5 x 5

I have a set of 93 caprice rotors they have the 5 on 5 bolt patern but they are the
large rotors and will not work with the camero sized kits. My rear axle is from the 93 caprice. I don't want to use adapters . I have found some circle track rotors that are the camero sized rotors that are 5 on 5. Think I'll buy the brackets and get those rotors..

I've checked the spec book, '90 (I was 1 year off) to '96 "Bubble" body Caprice and Impala are 5x5, regardless.

will the impala bearings work on the 57 spindle, or would bushingshto be made?

The bearings are larger and the rotors are 12 inches. I did find a machine shop that would redrill the mid size rotors to a 5x5 for $30.00 each. Turns out the circle track rotors that are 5x5 have 5/8 wheel studs that won't work with stock wheels. Who has the best price on a disc brake kit ? Think I going to get a kit and have the rotors redrilled to 5x5.

Thank you. I think I will do the same, the 12" rotor kit from CPP that work with the 57 hubs.

I have a set of rotors taken from a 1969 Impala that are the 5 on 5 pattern. They fit on the same spindles as the smaller Camaro and Nova rotors they also have much larger calipers.
