I recently purchased a 1968 C60 grain truck that has sat for about the last three years. When I took the cover off the brake reservoir it was completely DRY. I filled it with fluid and hit the pedal with the cover off to see if there was any movement in the fluid like disappearing down the brake line. So nothing. I know nothig about this type of system and see no leaks at the wheel cylinders. Where do I start? Worried I have bought a money pit!

ron | | | | | Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 78 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 78 | go to the gallery and check out robert burgoyne's '64 c60. he's got a pretty good web page with pics and a link to a company for parts for hydovac. haven't been there, but I'm in the process of buying a '66 c60 dump truck and I'll be there soon enough. good luck. most brake systems are pretty simple. push the fluid to make the shoes move. take it apart make sure it has good sealing surfaces, re-seal it and it will probably work just fine.
