http://photobucket.com/chevy581958 Chevy Viking 60 Dump Truck, lived in central Oregon her whole life. Working out of Prineville on a good size gravel yard. Bought her for $600.00 and drove her home two days ago, all running gears felt great as well as reverse. I don't know how to operate the hi/lo gearing so I left it alone.(The toggle on the top of the shifter it pressed all the way in, or down).
Any questions, and I'll answer them. I can post more as I dig into her. I salvage buildings, and run a small tree farm so you can understand why I was in the market for a Dump I could keep running no matter what. The Dump bed is a 4 yard. manufactured in Portland Or.
The hydrolics on the Dump are unbelievably smooth. I'll take some close up pictures of the interior.
The Chevy School Bus is my main salvage truck I've used for the past 5 years. I bought her with no seats and she's currently filled with Cedar Shakes shingles from an A-Frame tea rdown. Shakes are 50 years old and getting ready to be used this winter as recycled siding material.
I'm an old VW rebuilder and am excited to start on a new (new to me at least) type of vehicle. Glad to have met your community, and looking forward to contributing.
Cheers
