Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2009 Posts: 26 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: May 2009 Posts: 26 | I have a 52 half ton that I am rebuilding. I am swapping the 216 for a 235 out of a 57. While its apart I'd like to swap out the 3 spd column shift for a 4 spd on the floor. I want to keep the stock torque tube driveline. What year(s) tranny will bolt up? Good luck, you shouldn't have any problem locating one of them. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,270 | Any SM420 should bolt up, as long as you have the torque-tube rear cover for the transmission. You'll also need a 4-speed torque-tube u-joint (and speedometer drive-gear and driven gear).
