It does have one right? If so I can't find it and I don't know what size it is? can anyone help this weekend parts replacer ? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 2,074 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 2,074 | I just use the same kit for a small block V8 (bolt & thick washer), but you will have to drill and tap. Should have been done when rebuild, but I just eyeballed mine and it's been there for 18 plus years. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | Supposedly, some later 261s crank shafts came drilled for a harmonic balancer bolt (replacement engines), but most (if not all) were not drilled. This bolt/washer set is readily available at most parts stores and it is the bolt-size for which most people/shops drill/tap the crank shaft.
