The issue is a 58 235 which is getting a new clutch, etc. The flywheel really needs to be resurfaced, and my question is that it appears that it can drop out of the bottom of the bell housing so that I do not have to remove the engine.
Just want to make sure that my guess is correct, and this can be done this way before I start attempting to remove the flywheel.
Additionally, what is the going rate for flywheel resurfacing these days? I also expect to get a new ring gear installed while I am at it.
I expect there is a few of you that have had this adventure before. Thanks for any tips or information you can give.

Its heavy,, keep your hands away from directly under it while removing it. And, it will only go back on one way when re-installing.
I just had mine resurfaced and balanced,,,65.00.
Dont know what they charge for new ring gears.
