what cam will fit a 194 block. a friend has a shot cam and is looking for a used one to fit his 194 motor.
will a 230 /250 cam fit?

The 230/250 cam will work, but that's not to say it would be the right cam. You could have problems.

You will need to get a new set of lifters, or use the same lifter on the same lobe it was riding on.

A used cam is sort of like a used condom- - - - - -I don't think I'd trust one! Once a cam/lifter wear pattern gets established, it shouldn't be disturbed. At least put in a new set of lifters and go through the same break-in procedure as a new cam- - -20 minutes at 2,000 RPM before you idle the engine at all.
