I purchased a 60' c10 apache for my b.d. 9/6/9 but someone has violated it by trying to put a v8 in place of the L6. it isn't even bolted down in the engine bay!!! the half moon front "perch" is there along with the two tranny side mounts and the engine is just sitting on the front cross member and it has some sort of small radiator with it although it appears to be a v8 radiator. can I use the half moon on the front of the 292 and will it bolt up and mount along with the two tranny mounts in it's original position. I am thinking the 63' came with a 292 but are the frames different between a 60' and a 63'when it comes to the mounting of the straight six motors???

Please post the question in the engine and driveline section.

However there were various engines in the '60 including I6's and V8's
