Going back to the motivation thread you were all wonderful, as a result of your words, I took the engine(original) to be machined and rebuilt. While there the re-builder asked what I wanted to do about the filter. I was wondering does anyone make a spin on oil filter arrangement, where the old style assembly then goes over cartridge? Google revealed nothing. Also what do others typically do? Optional 216/235/261 by-pass oil filter Tech-Tip - if you have a GMC, the plumbing (at least) will be different. High-pressure 235/261 full-flow conversion (does this work on a low-pressure 216/235??) - if you have a GMC, the technique might be different? I still like the oil canisters myself though. It required the use of a standard "Brand F" V-8 filter. I believe I got the adapter at NAPA.
