I think geboyz sells reproductions for around $800. They go on ebay for around $400 I wouldn't pay more than $250 for a pair. They get easily damaged and the ones you buy you have to fix at your expense.

Aren't we supposed to know what year you are talking about? Did I miss that? To me, a TF guy, a fender spear is an emblem like 3100 which are no different on panels and burbs than on trucks. Lemeno.

I have never seen the repops personally, but I have heard claims that they are a great fit. They go for around $1500 and up. A set of polished originals sold recently for around $1500, I questioned whether they were originals, the guy sold lot's of reproduction stuff too.

bartamos: I assumed he was talking about 1947/55 since he is now requesting information on the other twelve pieces.

ok to help clear things up i am speaking of trim from a 47-54 chevrolet panel.
the og stainless moldings that came on the fenders (12 strips and 2 spears) and that are often used on the trucks and suburbans

I've collected, bought and sold a half dozen sets of fender trim over the past 10-15 years. Aftermarket fender spear fabricators GEBoyz in Ca are terrific repos...last set I bought from them was $500.(superb quality).
A good complete set of fender trim (14 Pcs)is very rare...I've only encountered one set that I bought from a farmer in Kansas...I sold the set on ebay for over $3000.
If you can find pieces in any condition grab them...the stainless fender trim is very easy to repair and polish. 12 pcs set goes for between $1500-2000...damaged original fender spears are the exception...they require professional resto and are very, very rare.

ok thanks for the help,,,, the reason i ask is i have a buddy here who has a set but decided not to sell them to me ..

he did however allow me to take them to possibly reproduce them and the price i am looking at for the complete set of solid/cast 14 pieces in chrome is in the $2,500 range. about $800 for just the spears in chrome and i im not sure if thats good or if i should waite till i find a complete set.
i actually would prefer the solid pieces in chrome, cuz to me chrome looks way better.

what do you guys think??

I think with today's CMM capability you could get them duplicated out of solid 304 and have them polished and then flash chromed. They'd look great for years to come, you could either insert them or stud them for attachment. If you inserted them, you could use transfer punches to put the holes into the fenders. Price? Probably high for the first set but you could look at a limited production run and if you could get somewhere close to the repop price, you'd sell them out.

You could make a die and prebend the material and then have it machined so the billet wouldn't be so large.

I just bought a '49 1 ton last week with a replacement LR fender with all the holes. No trim though. We do have 2 pieces of the front 6 that we found in the dirt at a local farmer's place 2 years ago! What are the odds? He doesn't even remember owning one of those trucks.
