Hey, welcome aboard! I was stationed in Cape Hatteras for almost three years (US Navy). My wife graduated from ECU, and we lived in Greenville and then Ayden for a while (many, many years ago.) She's an NC native, from Sanford. Been to and through New Bern numerous times.

You oughta be able to find some old military vehicles just sittin' around down your way, although the salt air might have gotten to them some.

seen a few Jeeps and Deuces around, and one of the reasons I joined here is cuz I like old farmtrucks firetrucks etc, anything that once would have been overlooked that gets cool with age! I plan on postin some pics I took while house hunting last week of an awesum junkyard I found out in the sticks not far from Ayden!

ncmetalbendr: Welcome to the Stovebolt. Was in New Bern Dec 2005 and visited the Pepsi Drug store. I worked in Greenville (worked in Farmville) all of 2005. I lived about two blocks from the college close to Firetower Rd.
Sold a 348 engine to a guy in New Bern who I believe was in the electrical business. He had several nice cars and a truck.

Good to see you here. Its a great place. Full of knowledge and nice folks. Keep us posted on whats happening and watch the Swap Meet for some good buys.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
