It has a correct era Bendix Hydrovac attached to boost the brakes (model 377870). These were optional equipment on this year. I plan on keeping the single master cylinder. I don't want to upgrade to a dual cylinder modern power brake setup. Has anybody used Reman Incorporated to rebuild their hydrovac? http://www.remanincorporated.com/ What was the quality? Would you recommend or not? Thanks for moving me to the big bolt board.
Hadn't thought that NAPA would have rebuild kits, but I'll ask. This one is an odd one, as the "gas suction" side of it is ~ 5" and not the typical 7" or 9" that I usually see. I have read and re-read the rebuild tech tip many times, and I will do it myself, if I can find a kit.
If I can't get the kit, thanks for the suggestions on places in StL that might be able to rebuild.
