Hello to everyone out there in Stovebolt land!. New to the site and working on restoring a 66 fleetside short bed. hopeful to get and give some helpful information on here. i"ve been a mechanic in one shape or form in the past 30 years but have very little body knowledge. I just got it running last week and now in proccess of disassembling it to the frame when i found a bad spot in the frame rail just behind the rear coils. What a Bummer!. Can anyone give me any suggestions please? Thanks again and hope i can return the favor.
ps. as soon as i figure out how to put pics on i will.

rboyer, welcome to the world of Stovebolting. Glad to have you as a member of the garage gang!
Sounds like your plan is already in action. I might add that since this is the "welcome" place you may want to ask your questions in the correct forum. You will get more views and responses that way as not everyone drives through the welcome site here.
Perhaps you question would be best in the Paint/Body forum.

Good luck on your project and we look forward to pictures. Lots of good folks here, both young and old, with lots of knowledge.
Keep us posted.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Welcome, rboyer. If everything were to go smoothly on your restoration, you are likely taking shortcuts. Hope you can get it figured out.
