Hi All, I need to know how to get my window out of my door without breaking it and how to put the new windows back in. I took the door off, took all the bolts out , everything I see is loose. I don't know how to get it out. I would be glad to learn from your EXPERIENCE on this. Thanks, Bruce

to get the door windows out you have to take the wing vent assembly out. Take off the garnish molding, then there is screws at about 3 places on the wind vent PLUS two small bolts at the bottom AND there is one down at the bottom of the long wing vent arm that goes down into the door. It bolts the bottom of the long wing vent arm to a bracket down inside the door. It is a booger to get to . Go through the bottom excess door place and you can get up there to it. Its a 1/2" size. Take that bolt out to. Then slightly turn the wing vent assemble, tilt it and pull it up and out. It comes out the best from the inside of the door. Then crank up your window about 3/4 the way, pull up on the back of the glass which should tilt it and let you pull it up out of the window regulator arm.

This procedure it outlined in the shop manual which there is a link somewhere around here to the ones on line. Just be sure to read the ones for the 52/53 and not the earlier models which are a little different.... at least the way they attach to the window regulator.
Whew, if I'm not right here someone will let you know!!

Bottom line - its all explained in the Shop Manual. This should be one of the first things a truck owner should have.
