Hi, my name is Steve and I am a lifelong Chevy addict. This is good news for my nephew, because he is starting to inherit my Chevy stuff.

Just brought home a 58 tonight. Had a 65 ton truck until last year. It was totalled in the June 4 flood in Indiana.

The 58 has a lot of work ahead of it, as was evident on the drive home. I thought I was being proactive in bringing a gas can for the 20 mile drive home. It made it about 10 miles and ran out of gas. I put in about a gallon or so of gas and ran out again about 5 miles later. Or clogged up a filter or experienced a failing fuel pump. While it sat the second time, it must have heat sinked and blew out about a half pint of coolant.

That's still better than the trip home with the 65. My wife had to keep stopping to pick up parts on the way home with it. Good thing she was following me.

Hope to glean a lot of information here.

Steve

Let's try this. I'll have to clean it up and take pictures of it outside. These are of it tucked into the garage. Day 1.

Welcome Steve. You won't cure your Chevy addiction here but you can join other addicts. Good luck with your new project.
