It is a rebuilt engine with a tag on the side which says Aaron's Automotive Prod. Springfield,Mo. The usual engine # was ground off or shaved off if the block was decked. Does anyone know of this company? A phone #? A web search didn't turn up anything. The casting # on the back of block is GM460776 so what can any of you tell me about this engine or the rebuilder. The engine was most likely built about 3 years ago. The tag didn't say if the engine was bored or anything. It is suppose to have only about 15000 actual miles on it. Any help appreciated gang. Oh, Aarons Automotive "serial #" is engraved on the tay and is 167209. | | |

Without the engine ID number, normally located on the pad just forward of the passenger side cylinder head, it may be difficult to get more specific. What vehicle was the engine taken out of?
About the rebuild, have you called Aaron's Automotive? Their phone number is (417) 831-5257. They may have some info for that serial number. | | |

I also called the phone # and they are no longer known as Aarons Automotive but now called Performance Power Train. I had their(Aarons) serial # but they could tell me nothing. Thanks for all the help. Now I must decide whether to use it or not. It was wrapped up when I got it and the fellow said it was a 350. I had heard it run in his truck and had no reason to not believe THIS guy. I guess he honestly didn't know himself. It was running and sounding good. Any way, I got a good deal on it so I'm not "hurting" over it!! I may still put it in the Panel and hit the road. Thanks again for your help. | | |

It almost put me out of business. It is probably better now as reman. engines have improved in quality & warrantys.
