I'm a newbie and I'm here to educate myself about Task Force trucks. I just bought a '57 Cameo, so good advice, information and past experiences (good and bad!) will certainly be helpful.
It's a big project, but it's all there. It's been at home for a few days now, and even if the engine didn't ran in the last 17 years, it was running on Sunday! What a great feeling!
My husband and I would like to have it back on the road in a few years.

It is always a thrill bringing an old truck back to life. Is your truck a Canadian model?

They've been a great help in finding scarce parts. Good luck. They're beautiful trucks. I'm trying to get a 57 back together myself.

And to Fred, no we took in the States, but not very far away from our place, Northern Vermont, but it seems like it pass most of his (or should I say "her") life in New Hampshire.
Speedo is a bit over 3000 miles, and with what can see underneath (original shocks, carburator, engine, no moulding's missing - except for one, frame is in great shape), we think it might be the right mileage !!! | | |
