Most 302's had a 2 bbl. A 1BBL would probably be a Zenith. They are very application specific. A 235 will not create near the velocity as a 302 and would result in a terrible flat spot during acceleration. Air rushing through the venturi is what sucks the gas out of your fuel bowl.
