I decided to rebuild my 1955 235 cu engine that I have in my 53 Chev 1/2 ton. I purchased a cam and lifters combo, I wanted to go with the mechanical cam and lifters.Whats in it right now is hydraulic cam and lifters. Cam went in fine lifters AOK, but when I went to place in pushrods and rockers assembly it became obvious that the pushrods were to long. I looked up on Jim Carters site and saw that they sold shorter pushrods , they still seems a bit long. Has anyone else done this or came across this problem which can give some advice specifically somebody that has placed in a mechanical cam and lifters in a 235!

Thanks’ OilRag

I thought that maybe somebody else might have had the same problem but the info you gave me it probably exactly what I need , like I said I think I need them a little bit smaller and from 10 9/16 to 10 7/16 is about the size difference I need . Thanks for the help... wave
