I am not sure it is the stock nut but it appears to be a 9/16" fine thread jam nut. Should be able to find a suitable nut at the flaps or local hardware store. I would suggest at least a grade 5, grade 8 would be better. Doesn't have to be a jam nu, a regular nut will do fine.

Most hardware stores stop at 1/2" on fine thread. but auto parts stores should go to the bigger sizes. Alternatevely, do you have a Fastenal in your area? They might have it.

Try the Swap Meet (place a want ad) for that 1954-truck interior windshield trim piece (defroster deflector). I have found two listed there over the past few years (finding the "stand-off" clips is much more difficult).
