on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Did they carry them thru the '66 body style?
And more importantly, when did they stop using them?

Did GMC use them? | | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 1,867 | Id hasten a guess that the '60-66 trucks were the last to use them. Maybe even partially through those years. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 413 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 413 | Jeff'z, The only GMC's that had clutch head bolts, were trucks that were built at a chevy Plant. Some GMC's were built at Chevy plants for a while. If you see a GMC with clutch heads, it was probably built at a Chevy plant. That's one of the little things that made a GMC different from a Chevy. What were they thinking when they invented the clutch head anyway?

So mechanics have to go buy one more tool. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,844 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,844 | They stick onto the end of a power screwdriver better than a Phillips head screw. It was an assembly line speed thing. Torx was used for the same reason, but they were used with robotic assembly tooling. Jerry
