Can anyone provide part numbers or a source for the inner and outer front wheel bearings and seal for a 1950 6400? My local Napa dealer who has been GREAT getting parts for this thing is striking out in this area. The Napa book is listing the wrong parts. The existing stuff that I am removing is not crossing over to valid part numbers.

Somebody out there has purchased bearings before me. Help please?

Thanks!

Hy guys, I have done some research on this, but I don't have an American parts book, so this is a somewhat educated guess. My books only list the bearings as components, not the bearing assembly
GM p/n Bower p/n Napa p/n price Rock Auto price
inner cone
121470 3383 BRG BR3383 $41.99 3383 $30.79
inner cup
121485 3320 BRG BR3320 $23.99 3320 $17.26
outer cone
121483 [timken]2687 BRG BR2687 $29.99 N/A N/A
outer cup
119361 2631 BRG BR2631 $17.49 2631 $12.84
Seal Victor 49642 = National 6511 = Napa NOS 16168 $11.49, does not seem to be available at Rock Auto. I hope this helps, trying to cross New Departure/Hyatt part numbers is VERY FRUSTRATING, take your sample bearings with you to compare.

Are the 1950 different from the 1948, because my '48 was hard to find the bearings for. NAPA in the states could not find the parts, Chevs of the 40s, had them listed in the catalogue, but could not find the parts, but I did find some on ebay and some from The Filling Station Truck Parts, http://www.fillingstation.com/.
I had to talk to them though, because I don't think it was listed in their catalog or maybe it didn't have a price listed.

I just went through this for a 1953 6400 series, and I found these guys to be the only ones that could find my bearings.
Good luck! Rob

I found Chevs of the 40s had them. However, It's good to have another contact. They are starting to get rare. Thanks for the info
