1950 Chevrolet truck?

They were a GM accessory - looked like two seashells. Mounted by dealer or owner. Instructions showed them mounted on the firewall but people mounted them in a variety of locations. In 54/55 they were supposed to be mounted on the front of the radiator support.

On this same topic, does anyone know how to tell the diference between the high and low note horns. From the install pictures it shows the horns opening to different sides, is this correct and is there a definitive way to tell one from the other?

I don't know, but I like horns that sound like a frieght train.

To answer Nifty 50's question, one has an "L" and the other an "H". These are cast into the metal, near the outside rim.
