I suspect mine were all stripped and that explains the #10 sheetmetal screws. Thanks.

I believe these to be original, as I've pulled another set of lenses off a junkyard Suburban and they also had sheetmetal screws, and the spare tail light housings I have from Ebay don't have any kind of boss, screw or anything with enough metal to support machine screw threads.

-Brad Brad, That makes sense as that is what I see on mine. They were #10 screws I think, I wonder if they could have been #8's originally? Thanks. But the screw head fits nicely in the recess of the lens.
There isn't a lot of play between the diameter of the screw, and the ID of the hole in the plastic lens.
