I am in the process of getting ready to put the trim on the side of my 1965 C10 long box fleetside. My truck was not orginally a custom cab which brings about my issue. I was wondering if anyone had the specs on where the trim is supposed to be. I am ready to drill the holes to put the clips on for the trim but want to make sure I do it in the right place. I don't have the shop manual for the truck but was wondering if anyone knew for sure if this info was in there or not?

Get yourself a reprint of the factory assembly manual, it is money very well spent. It is a fantastic book chuck full of valuable information.

Classic Parts and LMC Truck are a couple but many other vendors have them as well. As a sidenote, the assembly manual can be tough to use in a way because there is no index, table of contents, or page numbers. You have to thumb through it until you find what you need, but it is still a treasure trove of info.

Gave lots of measurements to get the holes in the right spots. Was quite nerve racking drilling them but the finished product looks great! So glad I did it. | | |
