Mod | | Forums66 Topics126,776 Posts1,039,277 Members48,100 | Most Online2,175 Jul 21st, 2025 | | | Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 179 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 179 | Don't know if this is the right place for this.My truck is a'57 1/2 ton from texas and when i bought it it had a heater out of a chrysler in it Now,i want to put one in,and sitting in my back yard is a scrapper that i picked up for parts on mine.It's also a '57 1/2 ton only canadian.I pulled the heater out of it with no problems,looks to be in great shape,but,my problem is none of the holes will line up without doing some modifications.I think i'll be able to make it fit,i was just surprised that they were so different,just figured the firewalls were all stamped the same way.  | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | the firewalls are all the same, but the holes are specific to the model of heater, and for 57 there was at least 3 different ones, all with different cores - if yours had a non-GM heater, the holes were done by whoever put that in, not GM .... if you've still got the original inside "dash mat" you might see marked-but-not-punched circles where different configurations would go - CDN will be the same as US
