Im at that point where Im making progress on finishing the rebuild of the steering components in my COE. But I have a question on the orientation of the drag link itself. This is for the older, adjustable drag link, not the modern tie rod end types.

If Im reading the book correctly, for the 300-350 series COEs, then it would go like this from front to rear; Screw cap, ball socket, pitman arm ball stud, ball socket, spring, hollow T, triangular spacer and ending with a thin spacer.

The other end from front to rear would be; Thin spacer, triangular spacer, hollow T, spring, ball socket, steering arm ball stud, ball socket, and end cap.

The smaller trucks look like the drag link is turned around backwards with the springs in front of the ball studs. Do I have this right with the springs to the rear of the ball studs? It fits both ways and is one of the few things I didnt take pictures of upon disassembly.

Thanks, Jeff

Well, I got her installed today! Same way we had discussed. I figured someone else would have asked whether or not the darn thing was on backwards. ohwell
