DavidWymore,

Kool...looks like lots of hard work ahead. I see a 'brownie' in one of the pix. That alone makes it worth the effort. Good luck. thumbs_up

Anytime you save one from the crusher it's a good thing!

Those are cool as is. I like the mirror arms.

Dave,
TF stands for Task Force, which is what the '55 through '59's were called. One of your photos showed one of them in the background. That's what micron was asking about.

becuase if you look at the first two pictures in the album , it shows him loading the AD truck on a trailer attached to the dodge , simple . Nice find, David.

Ok, how bout some help with the engine numbers? I'm told these old ones are identified/registered by the engine numbers. Are there more I need to find? One is supposed to be a '49 and one a '50. Don't know if engines are original.

Thanks

David, It would be easier, and we could tell you more, if you gave us the casting numbers on the blocks. They should be on the block just to the front of the distributor. 6 or 7 digits.

While you're at it, the head casting number would be usefull, as well. It is located on the driver's side, forward of the caburetor and on the flat part of the flange (where the manifolds bolt up) Sometimes they are pretty well obscured by crud.

Other things to look for that will aid our id process:

Are the valve covers held on by 4 screws at the edges, or two acorn nuts in the top center?

Has the sheet metal around the front top of the radiator been cut/mangled/hacked?

Thanks,
John

I gave the 4 window to a buddy, have a potential buyer for the 5 window with the brownie. How much should I ask for it? I have no idea...
