I'll send some pix and measurements as I get to that part of the job for you. I'm using a 62' box on a 64 truck. Everything should be the same(I hope)or I'm in for some serious problems. So yeah be sure to measure up before you have to take it back off. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 175 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 175 | Lookin at your photo DJ and I'm wondering if your bed has the tire fender or the non tire fender, mine is the non tire fender, interesting to see all the Jayhawkers on here (lol) I'm from Topeka.

I've already had to rework the rear bumper brackets to fit the 64' rails, and am hoping the 62' box doesn't give me any surpises. I've got the bed wood cut, and everything in primer, just waiting for some decent weather to get painting done. I've ordered all the bed strips as of today(03/02)and hardware I'm going to need. I'm as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs hoping everything goes together as planned. I may get a rude awakening. Oh well...ain't nuthin' that can't be fixed. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 435 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 435 | BTW...you're a Looooong ways from Kansas now, Toto. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 175 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 175 | Yes I am (lol) but did make it to the Emerald City (Seattle) I-70 must be the yellow brick road, When you get a measurement on the spare mount placement I'd sure love to know, just waitin for it to stop raining to work on my toy some more. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 175 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 175 | Thank you 1958 GMCnut I finnaly found my answer once I downloaded the fabrication adobe stuff, 9 1/2" from bed front to bolt hole, I'll put it on tomorrow! | | |
