I'm thinking, if I end up keeping my panel truck, to swap the body onto a '73-'80 frame and running gear.

The '73-'80 pickups were 117.5 (1/2 ton short), 131.5 (long), and 129.5 ('Burbs).
Doing the front crossmember swap might be a better option than an entire frame swap.
