They are available at any parts store. Ask for the large diameter type. They are available in different lengths if you are going to use full disc hubcaps. Other wise get the shortest ones. If your wheels are not in excellant condition they may not hold air. There has been discusions about useing radials on old rims but many have done it & have no problems.

If it doesn't hold air I'll use tubes. I thought I'd try tubeless first. And they will be installed long before I can drive it. That will give it time to show if it is holding or not.

| | | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | If they're tubless tires, you can't run tubes in them. They can cause tire failure and it is also against DOT regulations. Most (if not all) tire shops will not put tubes in tubeless tires.

There are radial tubes and I have had two different tire shops in NY put them on Toyo and Cooper LT radial tires. Not a question was asked nor a concern stated.
One set has been on for over 10 years; the other set only for 4 years.

As I noted, it is illegal to put tubes in tubeless tires. I've personally seen what happens when that is done, especially with a tire that is run at highway speeds. Failure usually happens at about the 100 mile mark (about the distance from Indy to Danville). I wouldn't risk it.
