Everytime I install it, it falls out when trying to mount on the headlight assembly. Any help would be appreciated. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 9,671 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 9,671 | Can't help ya Dave, but the answer might be in your statemant, "just purchaced 2 new headlight bezels". Very few of the reproduction items that I have bought have been made to the same standards as the original items. The reproduction tail light housings and bezels appear to be made from old tin cans compaired to the heavy steel used in the originals and they don't fit worth a darn either. The problem is the lip on the inside is not deep enough to keep the clips in. The clips and the seals work together along with the pressure of the headlight to keep things together. I guess that you know that the top clip fits into a groove in the pot. | | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,438 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,438 | Is there anyone out there that have NOS or used headlight bezels? I had to tweak the ends of a couple of clips with pliers to get the angle to match the groove. I did not experience any problems with the top clips. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 1,703 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 1,703 | I purchased mine from Chevy Parts of America ..had no issues with the clips after lookin at the pics they post in there catalog. I bought new bezels and seals some time ago and the bag of clips have gone missing. Any help appreciated.
