Just purchased 2 new headlight bezels with clips and seals, how the do you get the top clip to stay in? Everytime I install it, it falls out when trying to mount on the headlight assembly. Any help would be appreciated.

Can't help ya Dave, but the answer might be in your statemant, "just purchaced 2 new headlight bezels". Very few of the reproduction items that I have bought have been made to the same standards as the original items.
The reproduction tail light housings and bezels appear to be made from old tin cans compaired to the heavy steel used in the originals and they don't fit worth a darn either.

I bought new stainless bezels and they don't work well with the clips. The problem is the lip on the inside is not deep enough to keep the clips in. The clips and the seals work together along with the pressure of the headlight to keep things together. I guess that you know that the top clip fits into a groove in the pot.

Just yesterday I put new headlight bezels, gaskets and clips on my '49. I had to tweak the ends of a couple of clips with pliers to get the angle to match the groove. I did not experience any problems with the top clips.

Does anyone know where to buy just the clips. I bought new bezels and seals some time ago and the bag of clips have gone missing. Any help appreciated.
